Artist’s Statement

Having built a long-term career in technology and design, Man on Fire is the place where I get to play, to communicate, to investigate meaning, story, and juxtaposition. At every moment, in every stroke and in every corner, I want the viewer to see clear evidence that I have been there - caring, composing, finding the details. Each stroke, each position, each piece is a puzzle to solve and each is written language all it's own. My deepest wish is to start a dialog with the viewer and create a space where they can explore.

Beyond my own goals, when I work with another artist of brand the most important work is to help that other person tell their story. To help them communicate what it is they need the rest of the world see, or feel, or find meaning in.

I find working with musicians and and other creatives to be an absolute honor. It's a very special thing to be invited into someone else creative space and to become - even in some very small way - a part of their greater story.
